My wife and I are doing the GAS tour in May 2013, and thought we would spend one night in Cochem before the tour begins in Trier. We've been looking at staying at Villa Vinum. Does anyone have experience with this hotel or other reccomendations for Cochem? We won't have a car and plan on just taking the train from FRA to Cochem, then on to Trier.

My son and I stayed here and I would stay here again. Tucked in the center of the town. We did not have a car and it was a 10 to 15 minute walk from the train. Not a big deal at all. It's a family run place attached to a well regarded restaurant.
