My husband and I are planning a trip to Europe later this year. We'll be in Spain in the first week of September, travelling by car and camping. We really would like to take advantage of the nearness of Morocco during our time in the southern region of Spain and do a 1-2 day visit. At first I thought we'd see Tangiers, but I'm reading a lot of reviews saying that this is not a great representation of the 'real' Morocco. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Yes.....earliest ferry from Tarifa to Tanger city. Contact a driver/ guide before leaving US to meet you at ferry dock and take you to Chefchaouen either for the day or overnight and then return you to ferry dock for your return. You can PM me if you want more info or search my posts here
