Best Dates for Spain

I need to request time off from work 6+ months in advance and want to take a 2 week trip throughout Spain. Can anyone recommend the best time span from late April through early June price-wise as well as avoiding crowds. Thank you for any input!

I spent a couple of weeks in Spain last year early in May. It was great; there was some rain, but no heat. If you like it warmer, go later in your time frame.

To be assured of good weather we went from May lst to May 28th. Beautiful weather- hot in the white hill towns and pleasant on the coast. Madrid, Barcelona, Seville beautiful - you might need a light sweater in the evenings. All depends where you are going to go - tourist will be in the towns wherever you go but I would suggest the 1st 2 weeks in May.

To me it depends on what part of Spain you plan to spend the most time in as there will be a significant temperature difference between the North and the South.

Another factor is what sort of weather you prefer - some may suggest May is hot, whereas to me it is just warm. Most people tend to avoid July and August, especially in the south. Of your possible timing, I´d go for late May/early June.

The only other thing to check is holidays, especially Easter (Semana Santa) which is rarely as late as late April but you will find prices spike as it is the major festival in Spain.
