I am visiting Normandy in late April and would like to visit a Calvados distillery. These are a number of distilleries to visit. Anyone have a suggestion on the best one to visit?

Right! can there be any BAD ones! its CALVADOS! check your local specialty liquor/wine store for big names (and then check with your hotel for local small ones!)

We followed the Route du Cidre one Sunday last July, and had a wonderful trip. Altogether we stopped at 7 or 8 distilleries. They are all charming in their own way. There is a very nice Sunday market in Cambremer, just east of Caen, which puts you on the Route. This one was one of our favorites:
