In the R.S. Paris book, he says that the cafes along the Rue Moufettard is kind of hit or miss. We're in Paris now, staying nearbyhis street and wondering if anyone can a recommend a specific cafe/restaurant. Thanks in advance!
If you just want a cafe, and not grub, the two or three around Countrescarpe offer as good a view as any. It's hard for anybody to screw up a glass of wine or a cup of coffee, so 'hit or miss' doesn't make much sense.
Anthony Bourdain had oysters at Le Papillion on Rue Moufftard.
I had a perfectly delicious salade de chevre chaud at Cafe Tournebride.
