Is there a preferred direction to select for best views on the Bernina Express? Chur to Tirano? Or Tirano to Chur?

Joe, I'm not sure it matters which direction you travel, as the scenery will be similar in both directions (subject of course to which side of the train you're on, and which direction you're facing). I travelled on the Bernina Express from Tirano to Chur last year, and ended up standing for almost the entire trip so that I could get the best view of the scenery. I found the preferred location was often on the left side (when facing forward), as that view looked down into the valleys.
