Has anyone travelled on this train in April? Websites talk about the Winter and Summer timetables - I am hoping it still runs in April.

Catherine, I believe the Bernina Express does operate in April. I wasn't able to find details on the schedule, but their fare charts for this year indicate a winter season from 24 October to 8 May. You could always check with them for specific dates next year. Cheers!

There are regular daily services on this line throughout the year, so there should be no problem going there in April. Some trains have the dome carriages and are referred to as the 'Bernina Express' where as the others are just the regular service. It is nice to be in the dome carriages, but it is still a great trip even if you don't.

We travelled on the Bernina Express on 17th April last year from Chur to Ticino then on to Lugano on the Bernina Express bus. The bus doesn't travel all year round, but I'm pretty sure the train does.
