Berner Oberland ski end of March

Hi, I'm doing a bit of research for my niece's who will be in the Berner Oberland area last week of March. Will skiing be an option at this time of year in Wengen or somewhere else? They are also thinking of doing the Jungfraujoch trip. Is there skiing at the top? Any other "winter" activities there or anywhere else in the BO? Any info would be greatly appreciated. They'll have a Swiss Pass/Youth Pass for their trip.

There was a lot of snow this winter (and it's snowing outside as I write this), so at least some slopes should be open. The Grindelwald side of the mountains has always been noticably colder when I have visited, and there's more slopes over there, so the late season skiing might be better there than on the Lauterbrunnen side. There are no ski pistes around the Jungfraujoch.

No, there is no skiing from the Jungfraujoch, the reason will be obvious when you get there. BUT, your ski pass will get you to Klein Scheidegg where you catch the Jungfraujoch train, so you only have to pay the ticket price from that point. www.wengen.com for snow conditions, lifts operating, trails open and webcams. Right now, everything is open. Slopes at Muerren/Schilthorn should be open as well. Wengen is a good spot since it is half way up the mountain. Grindelwald side would be getting a bit slushy/icey that late because of lower elevation. Other winter activities include alpine sledding. You can rent sleds in Wengen and they have a dedicated sledding run.
