Traveling through Switzerland next summer and will stay a few days in this area. One of our travelers spent some time in Solothurn about 30 years ago and would like to see it again. Any suggestions on a good place to stay here, or would it be better to stay in Bern and day trip to Solothurn. We are a family of 4 on a somewhat tight budget so looking for no more than 250 SF per night if possible. We'll be traveling by train, so any Bern suggestions close to train station would be great.
