On the last Sunday in May, we leave Murren for Zurich. Train routes either take us through Bern or Luzern. If you had a few hours to spend on a Sunday afternoon, which stop would you choose? I know Sunday may limit our touring options in each town a bit. We look forward to hearing your advice.

Lucerne: Kappele bridge, Lake, Lion monument, Glacier garden and Mirror maze; interesting and compact old town area; all convenient to the train station. None of these should be affected by veing sunday; Nice outdoor cafes/restaurants in that are. Not sure how much time you can squeeza, but may even be able to have some boat time on the lake

Definitely Luzern. And the train ride from Interlaken to Luzern is beautiful.
