My girlfriend and I will be in Berlin the 28th of June for two to three days before heading to Prague for another couple days. We need to get to Frankfurt by the 5th of July, but I was hoping to squeeze in another German city on the way (or maybe more). This will be our first ever trip to Europe. There's too many cities we would like to visit and we can't make a decision.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Dresden or Munich would be two good candidates, but it looks as if you only have about eight days. I would suggest a minimum of three full days, and four nights, in Prague. That's what we had on our recent trip and we could have used another day. I have been to Munich and enjoyed it a lot, never been to Dresden but I hope to go there some day. Another city that is nice, and in that general area, is Nuremburg, which we visited on a day trip a few years back and wished we had had more time. Berlin is a lot of fun, I had about a day and a half there of free time during a four day business trip a few years back. I had a great visit in that limited time, but you could spend a whole lot more time there if you wanted and it would be time well spent. If the eight days includes your day or arrival, I would seriously consider splitting the time just between the two cities.

Why don't you ask your girlfriend what she wants to do? She might already have plenty of good ideas you guys could talk about! GOOD LUCK!
