Berlin Philharmonic tickets

I had hoped to get tickets to a Berlin Phil. concert in Berlin in May, but as soon as ticket ordering was available on the orchestra's website -- last night -- it was already sold out. Perhaps some resellers are buying up all the tickets? I've had no trouble getting tickets to other concerts and the opera in Berlin.

Can anyone suggest an alternative way to get tickets?

I've always wanted to hear the Berlin Phil. play in their own hall. It's kind of ironic that they are coming to San Francisco (where I live) in November for two concerts!

I just checked their website (google Berliner Philharmoniker) and the May concerts all had (tickets available" written below the concert data. They have some fabulous offerings, I hope you do get tickets.

Many major European orchestras have "rush" tickets that they sell through 3rd party vendors starting a few days before the concert. But of course, considering that the Berlin Philharmonic is the most prestigious orchestra in the world, it is possible that they don't use this policy.

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately, the concert I wanted to go to (Claudio Abado conducting) is sold out.
