We are heading to Berlin area in late September and would prefer to spend some of the day in the city but have accomodations outside of Berlin. Does anyone have recommendations - prefer to be south or south west of Berlin. We then hope to train into Berlin to see an event at the 02 World Arena - but now see that that is the same day the Berlin Marathon is run. Anyone been there for the Marathon and how does it affect the city? Thanks for any help!
