I need to know if there are lockers to stow luggage at this station. I'm thinking about meeting for the Berlin Walking Tour at this location at 2:00 p.m. Our flight is supposed to arrive at 11:20 and we could get right into the walking tour, assuming our flight isn't really late. I would appreciate the advice! Thanks.

Donna, the website for Bahnhof Hackescher Markt says that there are no luggage lockers; also no toilets. This is the website: http://www.verkehrsmittelvergleich.de/bahnhof/berlin-hackescher-markt. Halfway down the page is a heading "Details...." It says "Gepaeckschliessfaecher - Nein".

There are luggage lockers at Friedrichstrasse station which is one stop further west. You could go there and then double back to Hackescher Markt.

Another note: although many tourist books still publish out-of-date maps, there are now no through S-Bahn trains from Schoenefeld Airport onto the east-west cross-city line, only onto the orbital Ringbahn. To get into central Berlin, you need to get a faster RB or RE train that does NOT stop at Hackescher Markt, which is only served by S-Bahn trains. They do, however, stop at Friedrichstrasse.
