On our April-May trip to Warsaw, Krakow, Prague, and Berlin, we have an extra day between Prague and Berlin. We were thinking about stopping in Dresden for that day but haven't made reservations yet so we could be flexible. Would it be better to add the day to either Prague or Berlin? We have reservations for 4 days in Prague and 5 days in Berlin already. We have not been to any of those places. Thoughts? Thank you

Since you've got reservations for Berlin and Prague already and if you decide to make a day trip of another city, Dresden is ideal from either Berlin or Prague, since from both Dresden is a bit over 2 hours. If you prefer to stay in the Berlin area--admittedly, it's a hard call--then make a day trip to Potsdam from Berlin.
Save the 6th day in Berlin for going to Potsdam and definitely see Neues Palais and the history museum there, if you're interested in Prussian history. It's about a ten minute walk from the Potsdam Hbf.
