Where to stay near Tiergarten where our son is going to school Dec 16 - 26. Mid range $

In July 2004 we stayed at Pensione Peters which was in Rick's book, conveniently located near Savignyplatz with a subway stop of the same name very close by. The zoological garden is closeby too. It is located in a nice area and we would stay here again. Our family of 4 had a huge room with bath. With the great public transportation available in Berlin Tiergarten would be very easy to get to from here.
