Berlin Best Western Berlin Mitte Hotel

Deborah, thanks for making me aware of this new hotel. I obviously haven't been there yet but the pictures on bestwestern.de look very promising. The reason why I'm excited is because the location is absolutely excellent. S-Bahn station Friedrichstrasse is right around the corner, the restaurant and bar "Ständige Vertretung" where you can find plenty of German VIPs and members of the parliament is at the corner of Albrechtstrasse. The street itself is relatively quite given it's excellent location in the heart of downtown. Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Museum island, shopping street Friedrichstrasse are all withing walking distance and to Alexanderplatz it's either two S-Bahn stations or a walk along the Spree river. Night life quarter Oranienburger St. and Hackescher Markt are also just a short walk or one S-Bahn station.

Oh, and the TXL bus from Tegel airport stops at Karlsplatz, which is also less than a 3mins walk to the hotel. The main train station Hauptbahnhof is one S-Bahn station from Friedrichstrasse.
