On our 3 week vacation to Benelux in April and May, 2009 where would you recommend we base at a B&B (and do you have recommendations for B&Bs) for visits to Brussels, Bruges, Ghant? Are there day tours from a Brussels B&B to Bastone, Ghent, and Bruge? Is it worthwile to spend a day in Luxenburg City? RS recommends Haarlem for a base B&B to do Amsterdam, the flower gardens, etc. Have you found this to be true and can you recommend B&Bs in Haarlem< Thanks, Dorsey

You can easily take the train from Brussels to all of the locations you have listed and return in one day. However, I would recommend staying in each (especially since you have 3 weeks!), rather than using Brussels as a base. As much as I like Brussels, I would probably rather stay in the other cities if I was visiting.
I have stayed in Hotel Adornes in Bruge. I found it quite cozy, but the best feature is the unlimited 24/7 use of the hotel's bicycles.
