I have rented a car to drive around in Belgium. If I start driving from Ghent around 9-10am towards Luxembourg City. Stopping and tour Dinant and Bouillon. Is this doable at a leisure pace, or am I out of my mind and rushing? Thanks
I don't know Bouillon, but otherwise, yes, that sounds reasonable. Dinant doesn't take very long to see.
My parents and I will doing the same thing this June. We will be driving from Ghent to Luxembourg and stopping to tour waterloo and bastogne. I think driving is about 2-3 hours, not sure though.
Are you climbing rocks in Dinant or going for the saxaphones? Other than those, and a decent view of the river, nothing special that will keep you there very long. The original question you asked - q1 - yes; q2 - no.
Thanks for all the replies. I felt better about the plan now. I think it takes about 3.5 hours from Ghent to Lux.
Adding an hour or two here and there my original estimate seems to be find to get to Lux by 7pm. I will be going to Bastogne and Waterloo towards Brussels from Lux on a different day, sounds like everything is relatively close to each other in Belgium.
