So what's working against bed bugs? sprays, suitcase liners, sleepsacks... What's worth the money? What can I make out of a 400 thread count sheet and some giant ziploc storage bags?

The US media has done an excellent job scaring people about insects that have been around since the beginning of time. My advice is not to stress about it. Do some research if it makes you feel better. In all of my years of travels, I've never encountered bedbugs.

Nothing is 100%. But remember they Do Not carry disease but they do bite! So be vigilant -ck bedding wherever you stay for blood spots, do not put your luggage on the floor, put lavendar sachets in luggage to repel. place your clean underwear in ziploc bags. Check, check and recheck.
Always wash clothing in hot water.

I have lived all of my life in Europe - in Scotland, England, France, Greece and now Germany. I have visited most other countries in Europe on holiday and stayed in hotels, B&Bs and rented villas and I have NEVER had the bed bug experience. What is all the fuss about?
