Beaune Hotrels/Tours

Hello, I was wondering if any had reccomendations for hotels or B&B's in Beaune as well as tours out to the vineyards for wine tasting. We will be arriving by train and do not have a car. Also we will be going in February so it may be to cold for biking, Thanks for the help as always

I stayed several years ago at Henry IV (think this is the proper number) Just outside one of the gates into the city area. Good location and reasonable rates as well. It is a short walk from the train station as I recall, but I would recommend a taxi to be safe.

We stayed at Chateau de Melin just outside Beaune. We absolutely love this place. You stay in this amazing castle which also grow their own wines (which you can taste for free). The rooms are incredible and the staff is great. We will return again! We also did a private wine tour with Cristina Otel from Taste Burgundy. It was the highlight of our month in France. She picked us up and gave us the experience of a lifetime. She also had a dinner recommendation that was our all time greatest meal - anywhere!!!! Dine at Le Montrachet - what a culinary delight!!! We did all these things with our 3 yr old and people could not have been greater!!!
Hope you enjoy!

For the benefit of future visitors to Beaune - I strongly recommend you avoid Cristina Otel and Taste Burgundy. We paid Cristina a 500 euro deposit in November 2012 for a one week stay at the Clos Paradis Apartment in September 2013. When we contacted her again to pay the balance and organise everything, she told us she was "no longer in charge with the Clos Paradis Company or Rentals" and gave us another contact. Since then we have heard nothing from anyone, either to confirm the holiday or return our deposit, despite numerous attempts to make contact. The Holiday Lettings website have tried to intervene for us, but they have been ignored too. There is no misunderstanding here - it is not a "two sides to every story" tale. Cristina (who still appears to be part of Taste Burgundy) has not offered any help, apology or explanation. She is sitting on our 500 euro deposit and has simply decided to keep quiet. We're investigating legal action, so watch this space...

Don't know your budget, but we stayed at Hotel Le Cep in town and loved it.
