I'm taking the train to Bayeux but would like to rent a car once there - any recommendations on how/where/with which company?

We got a car through AutoEurope in Bayeux and had to take a taxi to the car rental place (a gas station) from the train station. When returning the car, we had to get a taxi back to the station which is a bit of a hassle because someone at the gas station has to call a taxi and it can take a while for the taxi to get there. We prefer, and have done it twice, to take the train to Caen and get the car at the rental place steps from the train station then drive to Bayeux. Then of course, return the car to Caen and walk the few steps to the train station there.
