Does anyone know anything about Ed Robinson of Battle of Normandy Tours? does not appear to be listed in Ricks 2012 France guidebook. Trip Advisor has him listed at #1 and all 77 reviews positivly rave about him - every single one. we are thinking of booking with him after our Sept 2012 Best of Paris tour.
So, with such outstanding reviews, why are you hestitating? There are other cities in Europe with top tour companies on Trip Advisor that Rick doesn't list either. Have always been curious about that, as it doesn't seem consistent. If you aren't sure about the Trip Advisor reviews, you might want to post something on the Normandy forums. Or write a message to some of the people who posted reviews for a personal answer.
Thank you for taking the time to post a reply - what is even more incredible is Ed Robinson does not even want a deposit -we can pay him when we get there - or just berfore the Tour dates if using a card. Also on your reply we found the same thing - when in Berlin I wanted to go to Potsdam and we found a wonderful English speaking guide who took a small group of us there for an entire day - had a wonderful time and he was as good as any guide we have ever had through Rick Steves - and that is saying a lot!
I typed a lengthy and I thought quite good response to your inquiry about touring Normandy. I finished it - then hit send. The website said it was too long - even though it wasn't. Site suggested splitting response not two messages - which I happily would have done - but the damn thing disappeared! Feel free to respond directly to my e-mail address. You simply MUST contact Ed Robinson... J. R. Roberts
