Does anyone have experience with the ala carte dinner option for 99 euros? In my American dining experience, this phrase means I will pay a separate price for each item in my meal - are theirs hidden costs, or is a complete dinner included in this price? Thanks- Amy
Can't answer your question about what you get for €99 but it is common knowledge that the meals on the dinner cruises are sub-par. Better to have a nice dinner elsewhere and then take a Seine cruise.
I did the dinner cruise with my mother and sister a few years ago. What I recall was that it was just a menu where you had a few items to for each course. My sister is a true vegetarian so she looked into the whole menu thing before we got there. No issues and no extra fees. I'm not a food critic, but I do enjoy a fabulous Michelin starred place (current mission: visit all Alain Ducasse establishments!) The food is not the best but it is far from poor quality. We did the cruise with the live band and dancing floor. It was one of the most memorable nights of the trip but not for the food, again, not bad at all. The foie gras was actually very good. I doubt most booking this are looking for a fine dining experience anyway. Unless you have a really strict budget, I'd do it, buy the cheesy table photo and have a great time!
