We will be in Paris on Bastille Day (Sat) & am wondering if museums, etc are usually closed on this holiday? Any advice from others who have experienced the celebration?

Check each museum in which you are interested. Their websites note the closing days.

Its a lot of fun ! But yes, many places are closed. For a fantastic view go to the Montparnasse towers to watch.

Deborah,, not only is the Louvre open on July 14th, but it is FREE on that day,, it will however be very crowded so I would go before it opens and get in line( you have to line up for security anyways) Check on websites,, all major sites in Paris have them, and they are in english! Just google "Orsay Musuem" and viola, answers at your finger tips.
