Can anyone tell me if there is a comprehensive page that describes the activities on Bastille Day including Museum closures? Everything I find online has no mention of closings on 14 July 2008. Additionally, most of the pages are half english interspresed with french. We are planning a trip in July and in Steve's book he says to go to Normandy on Monday, but with Monday being Bastille Day, we would like to celebrate this.

I don't know of a link, but in general, everything is open and free on Bastille Day. Its a great celebration. Get your picnic and go watch the parades and fireworks.
Guess you'll have to wait a bit to hear from Jona of the city...the only parade i know of is on the Champs Elysees...get there early; and i don't think "everything" is free...but that's a day we stay home and watch the show on TV, except for the flight formations that go overhead as they wait for their turn in the "sky parade"...
