We are going to Barcelona for 10 in Feb/March. We will be travelling with a young child and are wondering where it would be best to stay? Is there a Hostal or Vacation apartment someone can recommend that is not really expensive but still nice?

If you don't get any other replies, try Rick Steves' suggested hotels and/or read the traveler reviews on Tripadvisor.com for Barcelona hotels. That's how I decided on where to stay for my first visit to Barcelona in April.

A great site for Spain is www.madridman.com, don't let the name fool you, he also has links and info for all of Spain in fact I believe he has a new site now called www.barcelona.com, there is a link to that site on madridman.com. He has extensive links to dozens and dozens of hotels in Spain, he also has a message board that is really good also.
