Barcelona Walking Tours?

the london and paris parts of our trip are (pretty much) planned, and we're doing a lot of 'walks'--with london walks and with paris walks. i'm looking for a similar sort of thing for my week in barcelona. does anyone have any good suggestions of companies/organizations to look in to? i'm going to be on my own for this part of the trip--one travel day between paris and barcelona, with six full days in the city--and am looking for things to do in groups to help combat the alone-factor. i'm open to ANY suggestions along these lines. thanks in advance!

There are several walking tours (Picasso, Gothic and Modernism) listed on the Barcelona Tourism site http://www.barcelonaturisme.com/. These are the only ones I could find that were like the London and Paris walks were you didn't need to pre-book, etc. Hope this helps.

thanks--that's actually exactly what i was asking for--something i didn't have to pre-book (i should have been more specific but i guess i didn't need to be!) all of the tours i found (via googling) had to be booked online in advance, which is what i was trying to avoid. thanks!

Tracy, I took a cooking class in Barcelona last month. I also took their walk to the market. We made a type of gazpacho, a potato frittata, paella, and crema catalan. The class was a lot of fun and I had a very nice meal with wine. Their website is www.cookandtaste.net
