Going to Barcelona in July and would like to spend two weeks traveling north. Not sure if we should go up to Bilbao, San Sebastian or go along the Mediterranean coast. Any suggestions for what would make the best trip?

Are you going to rent a car?
Our honeymoon consisted of a week in Barcelona and then a two-week clockwise loop up through NE Spain, Andorra, then into France (Foix, Toulouse, Albi, Carcassonne, Perpignan), then over to the Mediterranean and south through Collioure and back into Spain, including a stop at the Dalí museum in Cadaqués before flying out of Barcelona. We had a great time. Rick Steves says not to bother with Andorra, but we liked it -- we kind of used it as a vacation from our vacation. We did a lot of casual hiking/driving around and spent a day at a nice spa too.
We were there in April, so it was temperate and even chilly in the mountains. Going in July, you may want to take the heat into account....
