I'll be attending a soccer game while in Barcelona in April... how afraid should I be?
Afraid of what? Being hit by the ball? The stands collapsing?
No more afraid then you would be attending a Patriots game. The worst thing that could realistically happen you is the person behind you may accidentally bonk you in the head with a churro;)
Ok, I didn't think it was a big deal, but everyone keeps telling me it'll be so insane and I'm gonna get trampled.
Samantha If every time there was a match people got trampled don't you think you would see it on the news? Have you? Do you think the authorities would allow it to continue? Sometimes there are altercations at sports activities - like when the Bruins play - but they affect a very small minority - like when the Bruins play. Go, enjoy. If there is any trouble when you leave or during the match, walk the other way. Probably won't be any problem. All these people who have the horror stories that you hear... did they experience this or is it a friend of a friend of an acquaintance? ...
You should not be afraid at all. You will have a great time, Camp Nou is such an experience, have fun!
Go Barca"... The only thing you have to be afraid off is having a good time and not wanting to leave Barcelona. Na... it's just like attending a football game, except they won't choke to the Giants. Sorry, a Dolphin fan had to give you a little Jab. It's loud and you won't know their chants, but I had fun at the match against Chelsea in 2007. Get a Barca' shirt and wear it proudly at the match. Go Barca'!!!
