Good,, I will be there this summer and anticipate taking the exact same precautions I take in Paris and Rome,, not worried about it myself.

Great! I didn't have a chance to post on the other thread, but would encourage you and your husband to go and have a great time, just be aware, particularly walking on Las Ramblas and on the metro. We were in Barcelona a year ago and had a fantastic time, walked everywhere, and never saw or encountered any problems. For every person who posts that they were pickpocketed in Barcelona (or Paris or Rome or. . .) there are thousands who did NOT have any such experience, but did not post about it on any travel board.
