We will be in Barcelona for 1 night before a cruise. We are 6 adults looking for a moderately priced ,good spanish restaurant
Jo Ann - Try La Tomaquera in the Poble Sec neighborhood.
There are a couple really good and reasonable restaurants behind the La Boqueria market.
I lived in BCN for a year and know a number of restaurants. Two of them I highly recommend are: 1.) Cerveceria Catalana (there is something for everybody there). The food is very tasty with lots of variety. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187497-d782944-Reviews-Cerveceria_Catalana-Barcelona_Catalonia.html 2.) For the Basque Tapas experience try Sagardi. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187497-d794558-Reviews-Sagardi_BCN_Gotic-Barcelona_Catalonia.html Disfrutalo!
We were just in Barcelona. We found Bar Lobo just behind the Hotel 1898 on La Rambla. We had breakfast there each of 3 mornings and met friends for tapas there one evening. They are in the top 10% of restaurants in Barcelona according to www.tripadvisor.com. The tapas menu doesn't seem to describe the great inventiveness and flavor of the tapas. Quite nice.
