reserved Hotel el Jardi for 4 nights. But read some negative reviews, too. Pls, give suggestions!
thank you.

Kiko, did you check tripadvisor? If the feedback is not good (aside from service. you can't control staff attitude) then I'd see what hotels tripadvisor rank higher.
PM me if you want to know where I stayed.
I really liked my hotel (right by the water) but it wasn't in the city center.
Thank you Michelle.
Will do.
cheers.

I haven't stayed here yet.. but I booked at Hostal Goya (http://www.hostalgoya.com/) for my trip in September. (We also were considering Hotel el Jardi based on Rick's review and the cute square location, but the trip advisor reviews were super negative). Hostal Goya got really positive reviews on trip advisor, the photos look lovely, and the rates are really reasonable (70 Euro a night for a double with shared bath, 80 Euro for ensuite). Additionally, it's located only a few blocks from Placa Catalunya where the aerobus drops you off if you're coming from the airport. Hope this helps!
Thank you. Will cheque it out!

Kiko, my husband and I (we're both in our 60's) stayed at Hotel el Jardi last June. We got a room on the top floor with a balcony. The room are tiny, there are no fancy touches but the hotel is clean, the staff very helpful and friendly and when we go back next year we will stay again. When you walk on the Ramblas it is so fun & exciting but wear your money belt!!!!!
The Hotel Catalonia was nice - was there with an RS Tour. I think they have a few in various locations around the city!
I agree with Tom! We loved the Hotel Catalonia Albinoni, one block south of Placa de Catalunya at Avinguda Portal de l’Angel 17, phone 933-184-141, www.hoteles-catalonia.com, [email protected]. We paid e180 per night for a double with bath and full breakfast over the New Year's holiday. An historical building with character, and such friendly people. The location, walking distance to Las Ramblas, L'Eixample, and Bari Gotic...perfecto!
Thank you! Will cheque.
