Has anyone stayed at the pension alba in barcelona? Have been reading mixed reviews.
Also, any info about the neighborhood near the La Boqueria Market?

If no one posts their personal experience, try tripadvisor.com. I trust the reviews there, and decide based on the feedback regarding the hotel, not the staff.

We rented an apartment from Loquo.com while in Barcelona earlier this summer.(60euros/night for more room than a hotel. Our apt. was on Portiferrisa street, halfway between Las Ramblas and the Cathedral in the Barri Gotic. La Boqueria Market is located directly on Las Ramblas, I am not sure how the side streets are behind it. The whole area is easily walkable and we never felt unsafe.
