We are two women (no kids) going to Barcelona in September and would like to stay in the Eixample neighborhood. Having trouble picking a hotel. Does anyone have a suggestion? Prefer room with private bath, air conditioning, and breakfast included.

We stayed at Hotel Jazz and loved it, but it is own the edge of Eixemple, not really "in" it. You might look at Hotel Sixty-Two, which is a small boutique hotel in a great location on Passeig de Gracia. We found that breakfast is almost always extra at city hotels in Spain, and chose to go out to a bar rather than pay 10€ each for breakfast. But if you would like it, Hotel Sixty-two price for a twin interior room is 140€ with breakfast included ( 109 € without).

Lola- I just booked hotel Jazz. So glad you recommend it! Also got 2 nights at 1898 as it seemed a good choice too.
It was hard to decide though.

Linda, I too am heading out to Barcelona in September again for my third visit. We have always stayed at the Aparthotel Acacia, located in the Eixample area. It is not fancy, but very clean, each unit has a small kitchenette, the entire staff is wonderful, the metro is within a 5 minute walk, and there are loads of restaurants in the area for whatever your taste would be. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone, and I certainly wouldn't go back again if I had any doubts about it.
