The Barcelona Card offers free public transportation and various discounts for tourist attractions. Has anyone had experience with these? Are they a good value. I'm planning to be there for a week. A 5 day pass for one person is $72. Not cheap, and there are 4 of us.
No, it is not cheap. I think a better plan is a T10 ticket for transport (10 rides, can be shared by several people) plus one Articket per person ( 23 euros, provides FREE entry into major museums such as Picasso, Miro, Catalan art museum, La Pedrera, etc., not just a discount. Being able to skip the ticket lines is a major benefit of the Articket.
I second Lola. We just got back - were there for 5 days. Got a T10 ticket and shared it. Got ArtTickets and used them for Picasso, Catalan, Casa Mila, Miro. Both were sufficient. It was uncharacteristically wet in Barcelona.
Thanks very much. Your answers confirm my initial reactin - Barcelona crads are not a good deal. I'll follow your advice.
