We will be leaving to Barcelona this weekend! Revising our days there, we have about 2-3 days that are free (we have no plans). Would day trips in Spain be recommended? What other towns are close to Barcelona?! OR should we just enjoy, relax and stay in Barcelona?
Any info./tips will be appreciated!

By all means.....day trip to Sitges!! Easy, pretty train ride. I think it was about 30 minutes. Sitges is nice beach town, lots of pedestrian only streets w/ shops and bars and restaurants. I should disclose it has quite a gay presence but that didn't bother us at all. we spent our day shopping in the morning then on the beach in the afternoon. grabbed an early dinner then got the train back to barcelona. loved it!!! also - maybe look into a day trip to tour a champagne region. from what i read, it sounds like doing a wine/vineyard tour here where you can see the vineyards and where they make the champagne then do some tasting. Cava. yes..that is the proper name, not champagne. we wanted to go but ran out of time. i think it's called freixenet or soemthing and that is a big one relatively nearby

There is enough to do to cover 2-3 days. I think you can do a day trip to Monserrat (spelling). Also take a boat tour for a morning. Enjoy
