Barcelona- Cinque Terre- Rome or the Reverse Itinerary ?

I am looking into these 3 places for our 2 weeks vacation this June. I am not sure what would be the right sequence. We would love to do a little souvenir shopping at the end of the trip before we head back home. Which is better starting and ending point? Thanks
