Is the ride to Barcelona a scenic or interesting ride? I am talking about the ride from Andalucia, which I believe goes along the mediterranean.
Or is it best to just fly?
Fast train connections between Barcelona and the Andalucia region in Southern Spain are not exactly direct and if you are going from (say) Granada to Barcelona the route will not be entirely along the Med; there will be a long trip inland before you catch sight of the water. You can catch some of the regional trains which do spend more time along the coast but these are slow and connections are spotty so if time is a concern you might think twice. The run from Valencia to Barcelona is pleasant enough but we are not talking about the unmatched scenery of the Dalmatian Coast, it is just sand and water seen out the window for most of the run.
