We will be arriving from the US in Barcelona on September 24th and need a Bed and Breakfast in the City for two nights. Would like suggestions.

I found a 2 bdroom apt in El Raval area through www.cross-pollinate.com. It's not a B&B, so don't know if that would work for you. We will be there on Fri, so my experience has yet to happen. My niece and spouse have used the website for Italy and were very happy.

Jon, In Madrid I stayed at the Hotel Abalu, a botique inn. They recommended Five Rooms B+B in Barcelona. I've never stayed at 5 Rooms, but you can take a look and see what the readers at tripadvisor.com said.

JUST GOT BACK.....i stayed at the Hotel Peninsular about 2 blocks in from the Ramblas, on Pau street, check out website...reviews are mixed but I stayed there, single woman, felt safe, good prices incl. breakfast and yes just coffee, juice, muffins, but that'll cost you at least 7 euros on the street! free internet, wonderful people working at desk...i truly loved it and not hesitate to go back. check out pictures too yahoo has alot on it. if you go tell em paula from florida sais hi! esp. alex and jose antonio.

forgot to mention, Hotel Peninsular is also real close esp. back way to the Baqueria market...always stopped in there (open till 8 pm) to get fresh fruit or wine and cheese for eve..very convenient.
