I'm looking for recommendations for an apartment for four people who all need separate bed accommodations. We want to keep it around $200 USD a night or less. I see there are many websites to rent an apartment from, so I hoping to hear personal experiences - where you stayed and why or why not you liked it. Recommendations are needed. We'd like to stay some place clean and pretty, quiet, safe, and near the metro (walking distance). If there are groceries nearby or interesting restaurants or landmarks, that would be a bonus. I appreciate any input! Thanks.

Jess, we rented an appartment from www.friendlyrentals.com in 2006 and got very good services from them, lots of people on this site use www.vrbo.com, there was a lot of choices of apartments with friendly rentals in all areas of Barcelona. We stayed in a two bedrooms, in El Raval, it was 5 min walk to Las Ramblas with lots of restaurants, bars, shops, they only thing it was a bit noisy. It was aslo very close to La Boqueria, an outdoor market with everything you need to cook a nice meal. Two metro stations we're close by. Hope this helps!

Four of us stayed in mh apartments (www.mhapartments.com) last March in Barcelona. We had a two bedroom with four beds, very clean, roomy, one block from Sagrada Familia and metro and bus stops. Grocery store and bakery right across the street. The apartment looked exactly as it does in the web site photos, with a combination clothes washer and dryer. I can't remember what we paid but it was far less than two hotel rooms. Lots of good restaurants in the area, and very safe.

We enjoy the comfort and tranquility of www.apartamentbcn.com Holiday-apartment near the Sagrada Familia in a neighborhood with shops and restaurants. Is 5 minutes walk from the metro. We paid about 17 € each per night. The price ratio is perfect. Apartment very clean and sunny. In addition to sheets and towels own you provide cleaning products, salt, oil, sugar, and received us with fresh water. Very SIMPA
