We have nearly four hours wait (1230-1630) at El Prat before flying on to Germany, arriving there at 2200. Want to find a nice sit-down (ideally with table service) resturaunt in Terminal 2 B (Air Berlin). The airport web-site is absolutely abysmal regarding terminal passenger services, so need local knowledge. Is there a nice place anywhere in the terminal complex where one can get a full meal before our long flight?

Your best bet might be a hotel near the airport. Here's one 4 minutes away with shuttle service:

I don't remember seeing any when I was there last year. Just keep in mind that if you leave the airport, you will have to go through security again to return to your gate. So you really won't be able to have a leisurely dinner, factoring in getting somewhere "off campus" back to the airport, through security, etc. If your flight is late, you'll have even less time. Maybe someone will chime in with a good recommendation, but I'm sorry to say you may have to hope for the best when you get there. Good luck!

In Terminal 2B consider "Asador del Mar". The "Pendejo" platter might be perfect for you and your travel companion.
