Does anyone know the Barcelona metro reasonably well? We will be flying into Barcelona for a conference. Unfortunately, the hotel is located near the conference, but also near the metro on the red line. We need to get from the airport to the metro red line. Easy to do? Difficult? Advice would be appreciated.
Worst case, the airport bus drops you off at Placa Catalunya. From there you can get the metro to anywhere. It's only 5-7 Euros for the bus, the last time I took it was back in January. It's quick, does not make any stops in between as I recall.
Thanks, Vernon, but isn't there a link to the metro from the airport? Is it hard to find the bus? Do I buy tickets on the bus or at a station?
You can take the train from the Airport to Barcelona-St. Andreu Comtal Metro Station where you can catch the Red Line. Depending on here you will be staying, this point may be well past your destination. Consult the following links:

Buen Viaje.
Ramon, thanks -- best map of the Barcelona metro that I've seen. We need to get off at the Glories metro station. What does the "grey" line mean on the map? It shows the airport having a grey line that seems to connect to the Gomal stop on the blue line? Any help would be great. Muchas gracias!
The grey line is the suburban rail service from the airport into town.
