My 2 teenage daughteers are planning on spending about 5 days there. Any ideas about what would be good for them to see? They are 18 and have different tastes.
Fat Tire Bike tours, they are fun and easy for anyone( yes you too, if not send them on their own and you flake out for afternoon, too much togetherness can ruin a family trip, lol )
They will get a great overview, tour company is run by and employs Americans so language not an issue, most tour guides under 30 so its fun and light. I have done all of the tours in Paris( over five years or so, not all in one trip) and I have done the one in London, and will be doing the one in Barcelona this summer, Its a fun light idea and no fitness needed! On other hand, girls are adults and should also be researching what they want to see and do on trip, I made my 14 yr , and on seperate trip my 11 yr old come up with three sites they wanted to see in places I took them, , I don't beleive its up to mommy and daddy to do all the work AND pay for everything.. ask them to participate, this also defuses whining if they are involved in planninng and have to take some responsibilit for their experience.
I couldn't agree more on them planning things. We will not be with them at all. But I thought I would put the question out there in case there was something that would be interesting to teens. Thanks for bike info.
Pat from Victoria has some great advice; have them participate in the planning. And whatever you do, DO NOT miss the Fat Bike tour; I guarantee that all of your group will enjoy it!
