Does the Barcelona 3 Day Travel Card cover the cost of traveling to and from Montserrat on line R5? Once there, does it cover the cost of the Rack Rail Train? Thanks.

No. Montserrat is outside the city fare structure. You need to book specific tickets at the Placa d'Espana FGC (Catalan Railways) underground station. They sell a wide and confusing range of tickets to Montserrat, from pure rail ones to combined entries to various attractions up there: make sure you know what you want to do.

Thanks for your response. Rick's Barcelona book (top of page 14) suggests that it is covered by the 3 Day Card, but something I read somewhere else agrees with you which is why I asked. Thanks again.
