WE are renting an apartment in Paris in the 6th arrondissement.we need to find a place to store our baggage for a few hours as our flight arrives at 0730 and we can not get into our apartment before 3pm. Any ideas thanks

Yes, you can store luggage at Gare de Lyon.

Most of the mainline train stations have left luggage facilities. Gare Montparnasse would probably be closest to your apartment. Gare d'Austerlitz would be nearly as close. Take your choice.

We once checked our bags at the Louvre Ithe Hall Napoleon where you buy tickets). I don't know if they have a restriction on size/amount as we were only had carry-on size bags. By the time you collect your bags at the airport and get into Paris,
the Louvre will probably be open. You can go to the restaurant area in the Carousel (many fast-food type outlets) get some coffee and a croissant and relax for a while. The 6th arrondissement is just across the Seine from the Louvre.(take the pedestrian only Pont des Arts).You might even be able to walk to your apt. depending on location within the 6th.
