I would love to go to a day spa while in Baden Baden. As my daughter and I are traveling so far we really want to go to a luxurious spa. I would really like to hear your feedback.

Carol, There's information in the Germany Guidebook regarding the Spas in Baden Baden. Two of the most popular are the Friedrichsbad and Caracalla Spas. Note that some areas of those Spas involve co-ed nudity. For a "luxurious Spa", the one in the Hotel I suggested in my other post may suffice. Cheers!

Both spas (Caracalla Therme and Friedrichsbad) have been renovated recently and are considered the best in all Germany. While the Caracalla Therme is of modern architecture the Friedrichsbad is more like a roman bath and dates back to the 19th century- Both have massage fascilities and offer treatments (e.g. soap massage) and it is best to make a reservation before you start your european spa experience. Note that while the Friedrichsbad is totally nude the Caracalla Therme is nude only in the Sauna area). After a short time of adjustment you will feel very comfortable in all areas. If you want top notch "spa treatment" and understand by that facial, massages etc go to the Brenners Park Hotel (one of the few German 5 Star++ Hotels). They have been recently awarded the European Spa Award. Also check the websites of the establishments including the site for Baden-Baden.
