Any personal recomendations for a B&B in or near Baden-Baden? Looking for something in the 60 euro range. I've done the usual web searches, looking for personal experence.

I have stayed at the Deutscher Kaiser ww.hoteldk.de and really loved the location and the Peters Family. It's a very nice walk along the Oosbach river to town. We also walked to the baths and to the Merkur Bergbahn quite easily. They have a very nice restaurant with Herr Peters as chef. We got discounts to the baths from the hotel also. And it sounds like it's in your price range.

I've spent 16 nights in the northern Black Forest area, including 1 day in Baden-Baden. I definitely think B-B is overrated. Although on the edge of the Black Forest, it's not really a Black Forest town. There are a couple of little towns (eg, Gernsbach) up the Murg river from B-B that are close enough to come into Baden-Baden for a few hours.
If I were doing it, I would avoid Baden-Baden entirely and stay in Freudenstadt.
