We will be stopping for a couple of nights the first week of June somewhere between Rome and Paris. Is there somewhere along that train route that has a good, inexpensive B & B that is near the train station? Maybe in the southern Alps? I'm at a loss!

Check out www.karenbrown.com and www.specialplacestostay.com. They're our favorite sources for b&b's, and I don't remember ever being unhappy with the places we found in their listings. Both include places in a wide range of prices.
