I plan on going to Bruges for a few days in October. Does anyone have a recommendation for a nice B&B ?
Last October we stayed at Absolut Verhulst after reading about it in Rick's book and on Tripadvisor. We liked the rooms and the location was only a few minutes walk to the center of town. The owners were the nicest people.
We stayed at B&B Coupure a couple years ago and found it very comfortable, with friendly hosts and a convenient location:
We're going to Bruges in a few weeks and months ago I researched where to stay after reading Rick's guide...On this website I went to the reader feedback section for Belgium and the positive feedback and recommendations for Absoluut Verhulst B&B was overwhelming so I made reservations there.
Check the Graffiti Wall under sleeping for B&Bs.
See my review (pinkyvw) on tripadvisor. Setola b&b was just great and very convienient!
We stayed at The Royal Stewart last October. We had a large, beautifully decorated room with private bath for E57. It's very handily located about 10 minutes from town. The owner, Maggie, is wonderful! I asked her where I could buy a sweater, and she insisted on loaning me a warm jacket, saying I would do better to buy it in Amsterdam, our next stop. If possible, try to avoid being there on a Monday night. Most restaurants are closed.
Happy travels.
